When This Service Is Recommended

In-Home Euthanasia and Hospice Care

In-home euthanasia may be recommended for:

  • Pets with declining quality of life

  • Chronic or terminal illness

  • Progressive pain or mobility issues

  • Geriatric pets experiencing age-related decline

  • Situations where transport to a clinic would cause undue stress

  • Families seeking a calm, private setting for their pet’s passing

We are happy to discuss whether hospice care or continued supportive management may be appropriate prior to making this decision.

During the visit, Dr. Watson will begin with a quality-of-life examination and conversation, allowing time to answer questions and ensure you feel supported and informed. Your pet will then receive a sedative, allowing them to relax and fall into a peaceful sleep. Once your pet is fully sedated and comfortable, humane euthanasia is performed. Families are encouraged to spend as much time as they need with their pet before and after the procedure.

Our goal is to provide a calm, respectful experience that prioritizes comfort, dignity, and compassion.
